About Agape Ministries

Agape Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization that has operated for over 40 years in our communities.

Our mission statement is to provide for those in need in Western Auglaize County (St. Marys, Minster, New Bremen and New Knoxville)..

Through your donations, we are able to provide food for residents in these communities.

Agape is very grateful for your kindness and support of our organization throughout the years.  Your generosity in supporting the Thrift Store, Food Pantry and other programs, allow us to continue our mission and provide for those in need.

We will continue to strive to increase our program services that can benefit those in our community.  Through our growth, we can continue to offer employment opportunities and to continue to work with other agencies to recycle and limit our carbon footprint for future generations.  We will continue our mission and provide for those in need.

 Client Services

AGAPE FOOD PANTRY

The Client Services Building is located at 1220 East Spring Street in St. Marys, Ohio, just one block north of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

Food assistance may be received every 30 days.  All clients will be asked to verify that they meet the requirements on the USDA Eligibility to Take Food Home Form which clearly states that by verifying you are providing a self- declaration that your income does not exceed 200% of the poverty level per household size.  Clients will also be asked if all information is still accurate or if changes should be made to their file.

In order to assure assistance, we ask that clients arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the ending time for each pantry period.  This allows our volunteers to best serve all those in need. To be eligible to receive food from the Agape Food Pantry, you must be a resident of Western Auglaize County which covers Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville and St. Marys.

PROGRAMS

Emergency Clothing Pantry

This program provides specified clothing items to our clients that have experienced an emergency in their lives. We also coordinate this program with emergency agencies in conjunction with the Disaster Relief Program…

Senior Box Program

This program provides food to seniors who are homebound each month.  A food box is delivered to homebound seniors on the fourth Wednesday of each month.  These food boxes are packed at Agape and picked up…

Agape Financial Aid Program

This program provides coordinated and united assistance to families in crisis situations, where a small amount of financial assistance can help alleviate an immediate need. Help is provided…

Disaster Relief Program

Agape coordinates efforts with various emergency agencies that include but are not limited to local fire and police departments, Red Cross, Auglaize County Recovery Function and others.  Agape assists where needed.
